lawvolunteers.org.au is a database of organisations where lawyers, law students and others who are interested in volunteering their time and share their knowledge while gaining experience and developing practical skills.

A joint initiative between Monash Law Students' Society and the La Trobe Law Students' Association, this web site connects lawyers, law students and others who are interested in volunteering their time and skill with organisations that need volunteers.

The database includes a unique "traffic light" system to indicate the organisations which require volunteers at the current time. Although the front page only contains green lights (those organisations actively seeking volunteers), the system is used to its fullest extent in the full database listing.

The web site was launched on 9 January 2003, and will be continually updated to include a comprehensive range of organisations and indicate which need volunteers. Organisations which are not already listed are encouraged to download the registration form.
